Coating FAQ

Ceramic Answers.

Does ceramic coating prevent rock chips or scratches?

No coating is bulletproof. A 9H ceramic protects against fine wash-induced swirl marks, chemical etching and UV oxidation — but it will not stop highway gravel. Pair with Paint Protection Film for impact defense.

Do I need paint correction first?

Yes — a coating locks in whatever is under it. Every WPEG ceramic install includes at least a one-stage polish so swirls and oxidation are removed before sealing.

Can I drive my car home the same day?

Yes, after the booth cure. Avoid touchless car washes for two weeks and rain for the first 48 hours when possible.

How does ceramic compare to wax or sealant?

Wax lasts 4–8 weeks. Polymer sealants last 4–6 months. Our 9H ceramic forms a permanent covalent bond that lasts years and is dramatically more resistant to chemicals and UV.
